Mister Eric (Owner) -
Eric Schanno approached Mister Baker and Mister Flamm with a goal to create the highest quality Martial Arts academy possible. After 5 years of his own training and 6 years watching his son train with multiple schools in the area he realized that there was a need for a school that is focused on the instruction of martial arts versus being a daycare first or, a place where belts are “sold with a smile”. The journey of learning martial arts should be rewarding and challenging not based on a time-line. Students of Elite Taekwondo will feel proud of each belt they achieve due to the hard work and focused instruction they are given.
Mister Baker (Head Instructor TKD) -
Since
the age of seven Mr. Baker has dedicated himself to Martial Arts;
earning his black belts in Taekwondo, Haidong Gumdo, Tang Soo Do, and
Hapkido. Mr. Baker culminated this
experience and became part of the United States Army Tae Kwon Do team while
proudly serving in the United States Army.
During his three year tour in South Korea Mr. Baker was honored to train
with and be instructed by Kukkiwon Grand Masters in South Korea. In 2007 Mr. Baker’s team competed in The
World Hanmadang Tournament, where they received a overall place of 2nd,
defeating countries like France, Mexico, Philippines, and Republic of
China. His Master, Grandmaster Kim Moon
Ok, still lives in South Korea teaching the 2nd Infantry Divisions
Tae Kwon Do Team. Now a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo Mr. Baker uses his experience and passion in instructing students of Taekwondo.
Mister Flamm (Head Instructor Combat) -
Born in Brooklyn NY, Mr. Flamm started training in boxing at the age of 5, kick boxing by the age of 10, Karate at 15 and over the last 10 years trained extensively in Taekwondo, Krav Maga and Jiu Jitsu rounding out his mixed martial arts experience. Mr. Flamm has used the multiple forms of martial arts he has practiced to create the Combat Defense Tactics we teach here at Elite.
Mister Striker (TKD Instructor) -
Mister Striker started studying martial arts at the age of 7 years old. Mr. Striker first started with Karate-Do, Hapkido, Escrime and Daazan-Ryu Jujitsu for 11 years. At the age of 18 he joined the Army and started exclusively practicing the art of Taekwondo. In 2006 he was hand selected by Grandmaster Kim Muh Ok for the Second Infantry Division (2ID) Army demonstration and international competition team. During this time he was also selected as the Master Combative instructor for the Army’s 2nd Battalion 4th Field artillery unit. Mr. Striker is certified as a 3rd DAN in WTF Taekwondo with Kukkiwon.
